Just about. Ranks right up there with 750 posts in the first month on the forums.

Talk about the game being too easy and only attracting the attention seekers. I initially disagreed with that statement, but now i'm not so sure.

btw, He felt it necessary to correct someone else's grammar first Aniewiel, I'm just returning the favor.

my job requires very little work...so I have little to do

I merely pointed out your feeble attempt at making yourself appear intelligent by conjoining two terms that mean essentially the same thing.

if I didn't have to work I'd do other things...9/10 days there's absolutely nothing to do but sit here and look at the wall. The 1/10 days there IS something to do I generally spend 16-20 hours straight sitting in front of my monitor. Like I said...my job has incredibly lenghty down times

The sad thing is with games like this you have to wait for a year of them being released for all the idiots and abusive people to get bored and move on.
If any of you play NWN (probably 4 years old now) you only get experienced players who are interested in moving the game to better things.

I do enjoy reading your stories of abuse

Umm, it was not my feeble attempt, it was another poster, but let's get to the root of problem.

Algren Cole has:
1) Overposted in the short time he's been here.
2) Constantly belittles the difficulty of the Doppleganger and game in general.
3) Corrected other posters' grammar.
4) Bragged and probably embellished about the time it took him to ascend.
5) bragged about how his job requires "very little work".
6) Blamed the problem of GW community malcontents on the lack of game difficulty.
7) Referred to those who find the game a challenge as morons.

As I see it, YOU are the attention seeker that you so disdainfully referred to earlier in this thread. "Look at me, this game is too easy for me". "Look at me, I ascended in an hour and a half". blah blah blah blah!!

You're an elitist snob.

thank God for the posts per day line in the profile.

Good day sir!!

Good day sir!!

1) agreed...
2) I've made 1 thread about the doppleganger...this game is not difficult
3) didn't correct anything...merely pointed out the redundancy of a comment intended to flame the OP
4) your opinion
5) look up the definition of brag...I was merely making a statement
6) a difficult game weeds out those simply looking for attention
7) referred to those who couldn't take the time to realize what the doppleganger was doing as morons...and stand by that statement.

stop trolling

Post count won't buy you respect on these forums Algren. Maybe you'll realize that, maybe you won't.

Your the first person to call me a troll in the 4+ months I've been on these forums. People who don't agree with your opinions are not inherently trolls.

Being passionate about a belief is a noble trait. Being glib, condescending and overly opinionated at the quantity you have shown, is not.

Oh and btw, I know the meaning of the word brag. Making a "statement" does not exclude one from also bragging in that statement.

Maybe you should find a more challenging job? since you are obviously bored to tears with your current profession.

I love my job..I love writing code...I love patching security leaks...I LOVE designing intranet infrastructure...there's just alot of down time.

I don't feel the need to respond to the rest of your comment. I think this thread should get back on topic.

re: eventhorizen
Last I checked this is a community board for GW. And my example is just a small part of what is problematic with some individuals in the GW community (as evidenced by other posters as well, some who have had worse encounters), as this is an issue that effects us why not bring it up as a valid point of discussion?

Anyone could really press the issue and start throwing about the GW EULA, there is enough legal jargon in that to warrant investigation by arenanet for tiny breaches, but how often do people actually follow through with that? I dont, I know it's part of the game to encounter rude types as I initially mentioned, but sometimes it just gets a bit much when your constantly dealing with it and for no apparent reason.

re: Calimar
What are you refering to? I never ended up trading with anyone..?

So what? Have a tissue. It happens, get over it.
Heh. Hyprocrite. If you didn't like this thread then why didn't you "accept it as a fact of live, and ignore it. Blah blah blah"

Oh and here's a tissue for you. To stuff into your mouth so you don't say something stupid again.

leetspeak originated in the underground hacking community. It allowed hackers to pass emails/messages without encryption. In the early 90's and even the late 80's people outside of the community didn't have any grasp on the concept. So hackers would generally replace letters with numbers

1- I or lowercase L
1 & 2 together would make an R
3 - E
4 - A
5 - S
7 - T
8 - B
9 - g or p
0 - O

they also started to use very uncommon words(like uber)...generally words that were used were German words...as a large portion of the hacking community was from Germany. outside of Germany these words had little to no meaning to most people.

I have no idea where GODLY came from...

Undoubtedly one of the earliest examples of something being 'godly' would be from the 10 years old game, Diablo. Back then, a Godly Plate of the Whale (or some other secondary characteristic) was the best of the best. I'm sure there are earlier examples but that would be the most pertinent to -this- game, I'd venture.

No other secondary characteristic. You know damn well it was GPOW! (With +100 life methinks).

The majority of the people that I have come in contact with are usually decent people to play with. There are however, a some truly ignorant people.

There is only one person on my ignore list at this time. The lucky person is a clown that I came across on the trade channel. He was selling a staff that I was interested in for my monk. I asked him what the requirements were and he told me. I asked him how much he wanted for it and he told me to make an offer.

I asked him what the damage was on it and he proceeded to tell me that he wasn't going to sell it to me because that was a "NOOB" question. I asked him why it was a "NOOB" question and he said because I was a caster and damage doesn't matter.

I laughed at him and told him that he was a moron. Everybody knows that damage is one of the determining factors in the price of any weapon. The amount of damage I do may not matter, but how much I was willing to pay for the staff did matter on the damage.

Luckily, in my experience, these people are few and far between. But, they are always good for a laugh.
